Frequently Asked Questions
How do we get started?
The first step is to schedule a free discovery call. This allows Patrick to connect with you and your athlete, understand their goals, and determine whether coaching is the right next step.
What ages does Patrick work with?
Patrick primarily mentors high school, college, and pro athletes, though he occasionally works with younger players who are mature and motivated.
Are the sessions virtual or in person?
Both options are available.
Many of Patrick’s long-term clients train virtually from different states and countries, and these video calls are just as effective as in-person training for mindset coaching, technical & tactical development, and film review.
In-person sessions are available in Orange County, California.
How does film review work?
Families send Patrick game clips, highlights, or full matches.
During film sessions, he breaks down positioning, awareness, timing, and decision-making — using the same style of analysis he experienced as a professional player.
This dramatically improves soccer IQ and confidence.
Families / Players send film through text or email.
Do we need any special equipment for virtual sessions?
No specialized equipment is required. Athletes just need:
• A stable internet connection
• A laptop or tablet for FaceTime.
• Space to sit, talk, and watch film
• Sometimes a ball or small space for technical demos (optional)
Virtual sessions are designed to be impactful with minimal setup.
What happens during a typical session?
Each session is tailored to the athlete, but may include:
• Technical or tactical guidance
• Deep mindset coaching
• Confidence and emotional regulation work
• Film review and decision-making analysis
• Goal setting and accountability
Sessions blend mental and emotional support with high-level soccer insight.
What are the offerings, cost, and commitment?
Patrick has two offerings:
8 session (50 minute) coaching package - $2,000 investment used weekly within 2 months. (breaks down to $1,000 per month for a personalized approach, mindset work, ongoing support, and professional-level film analysis and /or on-field coaching.)
Single film analysis session - $400 for 90 minutes.
What happens after an 8 session package?
Most athletes work with Patrick for several months or years allowing the athlete to have Patrick in their corner over the course of their career. There is a powerful transformation that happens through long-term consistency and commitment- where mindset, skill, and confidence fuse together.
How do payments work?
Payment is made prior to beginning any work with Patrick.
Families may also inquire about monthly installment options if needed.
How does scheduling work?
Athletes meet with Patrick weekly, and Patrick works directly with families to find session times that fit naturally into their school, club, and travel rhythms. Virtual sessions make it even easier for athletes with changing or inconsistent schedules.
What if we need to reschedule a session?
Patrick understands that life, school, and sports can be unpredictable.
Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice, and he does his best to accommodate changes when possible.
Last-minute cancellations are typically counted as a session, unless due to injury or sudden health concerns.
What is the cancellation/refund policy?
Because Patrick’s availability is limited and his mentorship is individualized, payments for the 8-session package are non-refundable once sessions begin. However, families always have the option to pause temporarily for injury, travel, or health reasons — Patrick will work with you to find the best timing for continuing your program.
Does Patrick communicate with parents?
Yes. Patrick values partnership with parents.
He offers periodic check-ins and welcomes conversations that help him better support the athlete’s emotional and developmental needs.
What if my child is struggling mentally or emotionally?
Many families come to Patrick because their child is dealing with confidence issues, performance anxiety, pressure, injury recovery, or feeling disconnected from the game.
Patrick’s approach supports the whole athlete — not just their skills, but their sense of self, motivation, and emotional wellbeing.
Does my child need to be an elite player to work with Patrick?
Not at all.
Patrick works with athletes who are:
• Highly motivated
• Open to growth
• Willing to be consistent
• Emotionally invested in getting better
These qualities matter far more than current skill level.
Can my child work with Patrick during club or high school season?
Yes. Many athletes actually find mentorship most helpful during season, when pressure is high and performance expectations increase.
Sessions can be adjusted week-to-week based on workload, game schedules, and emotional needs.
Can Patrick coordinate with my child’s club or college coach?
Yes—if the family requests it.
Patrick is happy to communicate with coaches when appropriate to support the athlete’s long-term development, mental wellbeing, and specific position needs.
What if my child doesn’t “click” with Patrick?
The free discovery call is designed exactly for this reason — to ensure the athlete feels comfortable, understood, and supported before committing.
If Patrick senses the mentorship isn’t the right fit, he will always communicate that honestly and offer suggestions.
